You know there isn’t. [Sorry Damon. You may have to try a revolutionary approach of actually dealing with your problems.]
Are you hoping he will or won’t be halfway through his own bottle of booze by the time I talk to him? [Because of course Cami is going to; if nothing else, she needs to figure out just how aware he is of the Originals, not to mention how pissed off.]
Right. Because the first thing anyone with a healthy familial relationship would do when their brother showed up would be to get wasted and phone the local therapist.
I hope he'll be dying of alcohol poisoning but we both know that won't happen. [ Seriously, there has to be an abort drain somewhere that Damon can shove Stef down. ] Something has his brooding forehead at extreme levels and his hero hair seems off - he's probably more drunk than I am already.
[ At least Damon seems keyed into his brother enough to know when he's upset... It's would be kind of sweet in a weird way if Damon weren't so annoyed with him. ]
I think there's weird time crap going on. He doesn't seem as mad at me as he should after I tried to kiss his girlfriend... But he's definitely not his usual ray of bunny chomping gloom either.
[ Damon pauses... Frowning. ]
He's acting like he's got the switch flipped. But I know flipped switch Stefan, that's not him. This place would be a lot bloodier.
[ And this is where you come in, Cami. This isn't about him. ]
No you don't. It doesn't matter that he won the girl you're in love with; he's still your brother, Damon. You don't want him dead.
[Suffering, maybe, but there hasn't been hatred in Damon's anger when he's spoken about Stefan up until now. Besides, Cami knows the pain of losing the sibling she loves. It's not one anyone truly wishes to suffer through.
If she had any doubt about how true that was in Damon's case, he would have erased it himself as he continued on. There's nothing but concern as he puzzles through the middle ground, trying to figure out the reason for Stefan's behavior--before asking her for help.]
...Of course. I can't promise he'll talk to me though. [All Cami can do is offer, but she's a total stranger to Stefan.] But I'll try and see if I can figure out some of what's going on.

You called me, Damon. You want to talk, so talk.
